Comments from former training clients....
June 07 ~ Hi please let Tom and Gordon know that I took
Ziggy on her first weekend trail ride we rode 4 hours Friday and did 25 miles on
Saturday and another 10 on Sunday-she was WONDERFUL!!! She had the lead most of
the time nothing bothered her, I had so many compliments on how well she did for
a 3 year old and I told everyone who made her that way-You guys! She stood on
the picket line great all nite also. .... I can't thank you enough for
what you have done w/her. ... Thanks again. Tammy
Hi Brenda and the gang,
I just want you to tell & George that he did such a marvelous job with Tiki that I have decided to take her off the market and try working with her for a while longer. She has been out on the trail twice with me since Sunday and it has been wonderful. My daughter wants to work with her as well so I am going to give it some more time before I think about selling her. Please take her off the market for the time being and I will get back to you if it doesn't work out. We also may be back next feb/march/april for a tune up and conditioning. Thank you so much for the excellent care and training you all gave her while she was with you!
Sincerely, Peg

Dear Friends,
Today was quite an adventure with Baby. We took her trail riding for the second day in a row and I must say , I am impressed. We returned to Blue Marsh Lake in Bernville where there are 36 miles of trail around the lake with several loops. Baby doesnt like jet skis, nor power boats. She didnt mind bicycles at all, nor hikers, canoes, or pontoon boats, nor swimmers bobbing up and down in the lake. But I wonder how many of you can guess what else we ran into on the trail that I bet most of you havent????? Of all things, we went thru a large farm area that borders the lake and on a road barely passable by car, of all things, we ran smack dab into a TRACTOR TRAILER, yes I typed it right.. I was sure I would hit the ground or baby would bolt. No way. She couldnt have cared less. I was shaking and prayin all for nothing. She crossed bridges of wood, grate iron, and highway concrete lined with bathers takin turns jumpin off the bridge into the lake. She crossed a creek saddle skirt deep once, and the second time, decided momma was goin fora swim . When she started to paw, I knew I was in trouble , and Baby got her first butt whoopin from me. I laid into her with my spurs and growled at her and she quickly changed her mind about lying down in the creek . Bad girl !!!!! Today was a day of absolute joy for me. She is a leader, a follower and is alert and curious on the trail. We rode much longer than we should have but it did alot to build my confidence in her. I cant wait to go again.

It's 8:45 & we're finally in from the
barn. I couldn't stop gawking at my
new treasure.
Mocha is the horse I've been looking for for 10 years. She's beautiful,
she's the perfect size, she's unbelievably well trained, she's not nervous,
she didn't inspire any antics in our other horses so they must know she's a
sweetheart.
She let my granddaughters groom her, she picks up her feet like a dream. I
absolutely love her already. Thank you and thank her trainer.
Thank you, again, Brenda. I'll keep you posted.

RE: MOCHA IS THE BEST HORSE YOU EVER SOLD!!
Hey, Brenda.
We just got back from Montana after a 3 week vacation. We stayed at a lodge who's co-owner is an 81 year old retired cowboy. What a stroke of luck.
I had been on Mocha once before we left. I didn't take another horse because she is so good natured I figured I'd take my chances that I'd figure her out before we fell off the mountain together!
At any rate, we went on the mountain trails. Mocha never hesitated to do anything. We encountered deer, gaushawks, dogs, naughty other horses, rocks, trees, creeks and whatever else. She was perfect.
Lynn, the retired cowboy, said she's the most well trained horse he's ever seen. What a compliment coming from him!
….Thanks a bunch for this beautiful animal. I'll keep in touch.

I just have to tell you about Roy tonight. I've been
working a lot with him
in the round pen. A friend of mine (the one that got thrown …..),
Michelle has been coming over and riding also. So tonight, I thought
instead of the round pen, we'd go out around the property a little. She
rode Makai, the standardbred, and I rode Roy.
Well, we didn't get too far, just up around my pasture on the far side, and
there were some branches down over the trail. Roy went through, no problem,
but Makai was a little spooky. Michelle isn't very experienced, and she got
scared and said she wanted to go back. So I turned Roy around and went back
through the branches. Well, Makai got excited, and Michelle got more
excited...long story short, she ended up on the ground again. She scraped
her face on a rock, but other than that, she's okay. We went back to the
round pen and she rode a little more.
But I was so proud of Roy. Even with Makai running around loose, he stayed
under control. He was excited and snorting, but I kept bending his neck to
the left and right, and he paid attention to me. I rode him back to the
house and around the house for ten minutes or so. He is always impressing
me.

Hi Brenda,
I just had to tell you what an awesome afternoon Inca and I had. Today was the first time I was able to ride Inca after bringing her home. The snow banks on the sides of the road made riding just too dangerous but after the rain we got on Monday and Tuesday a great deal of snow was washed away - Yaaa. Today we actually hit 51 degrees and I was determined to ride. We had a terrific time! Not even the two dogs that came after us could spoil it. Inca just stood as calm as a cucumber while the owners came to collect their dogs. She is wonderful and I can't thank you and the rest of the crew enough. I am on the verge of giddiness I'm that excited. I don't even care that I'm sinking to my ankles in mud. Tomorrow is supposed to be equally as nice before we get more rain on Friday and Saturday. So, I'll bet you can guess what I'll be doing tomorrow too.
Thank you, thank you, thank you, Joanne
Brenda,
Just wanted to let you how well Cortez did on his first trail ride!! Last
night we headed to the park to see how far we could go. Between the
softball game, basketball game, walkers, runners, dogs, kids, wooden
bridges, pipes, rabbits, etc. that it would be a short ride for me and a
long walk for both of us. I was sooooo amazed at his reaction, not only did
he complete the whole trail with me in the saddle he reacted to only a few
things and willing followed the other horse past the scary item. To top
it all off he lead the whole way around!!!! Sara couldn't believe how bold
he was he would take the lead right back after something bothered him. He
was all at attention, but never once did anything stupid. His shy reflex is
next to nothing and he only sped away from busy traffic once and came right
back to down to a walk with a couple easy requests. He really is such a
great horse!! I can't wait to take him out again.

I have only had Colombian lines so I am very excited ………… along with Coral I got the PR lines, boy o boy are the years gonna drag by, till I can ride him! LOL! But I already know I am going to enjoy his great personality, as far as I can tell He is the best-behaved horse I have ever had. Watching him yesterday stand there with the saw going off, and feet done, and so much other stuff, he just took it all with a grain of salt. Even moving into a new stall and shipping he was calm cool and collected....I had your sister help me find Mi Sueno, so I could check him out and give him a rub!
I am Very very excited, he is the horse of my dreams …I am so excited! and I can not thank you enough, you are so nice , and you have great horses, a great place, I truly feel blessed to have had this happen!
I LOVE Bella!!!! She is the horse of dreams and is a
perfect complement to
my gelding, he is pretty spicy and a challenging ride...she is an absolute
sweetie, so quiet and gentle! …..Again, I want you to know how great it has
been to do horse business with you, and I look forward to continuing to do
business. Please tell Gordon that Tigre is doing better, has been on a couple
trail rides and several arena rides.
Brenda,
Excel is doing well. ….. Faith is very impressed with him and his manners. I can't wait to play with him a little. I'll give him a week to settle in but he already seems very secure and the trailer ride didn't seem to bother him either. He was friendly and relaxed today. I was very impressed with Toiyabe and Gorden's demonstation. Tell him thanks again! It really takes a lot to train them!
Angela
Brenda,
Excel looks great! ………. He's very shiny and healthy looking. Faith thinks he's going to go through a growth spurt.
Excel spooked twice on the trail at your farm but recovered right away and he wasn't nervous. That's my inexpert way of telling whether they have a good mind. And he believes you when you tell him everything is ok. He's very aware but not fearful. I think he'll turn out to be a good horse for us.
Gordon gave Excel a quick going-in-the-trailer-and-backing-out lesson when he loaded him and when we got here he came off the trailer like a pro. Pretty curious to see where he was though. He's very sweet and likable….
I think it's neat that Gordon is working with some 2 year olds …. I was really floored that little baby Toiyabe could do all those things.
I had a very good lesson with Amy. Excel responded immediately to everything. He has very good balance and he's very very supple. Amy had me do some basic dressage and neck reining with him. I just worked on those things… in a lesson yesterday and I want to do the same with Excel at least once a week. And trail ride him around the farm a little…. Can't resist playing with him!

Hi Brenda,
Fantasia is still doing very well. She surprises me every time I go
over new things with her. Well, maybe they weren't as new to her as I
thought. ???
We finally got RFD TV on DirecTV now. I love it. Lots of new training
ideas. I really like Parelli's training methods. At least what I've
seen so far. I'd figure we'd just learn this method together. Well,
one evening I thought I'd try some of what they had went over on
Fantasia and see what she'd do. She really surprised me, it didn't take
her long and she was yo-yoing (coming & backing away), standing still,
going over boards I had laid down and also did very well with the
squeeze with barrels. At times she just acted like she has done this
all before. Has SHE???? We need to keep going over all these, but she
really surprised me how well she did! No older then she is.
What all has your trainer done with her? I may have asked all this
before, but I can't seem to remember. She is also doing very well with
grooming, standing tied, picking up her feet & bathing. I'm going to
try and see if she will go into the trailer again soon. Also start
doing some sacking and other objects next. So far she is a joy to work
with! I hope this all keeps up.
We even ponyed her today after we got back from a ride. She did very
well at that too…She is still growing! I'll have to get a picture off to you
one of
these days. Just thought I'd drop you a line and let you know how well she is
doing. A picture will follow soon.
Take care and happy trails!
Brenda & Charley
Hi Brenda,
Fantasia is here! She made the trip with no problems at all. Mr.
Roberts said she ate and drank the whole way. She is so friendly!
Doesn't act stressed at all. Talked a little to my horses as she came
in the barn and then started eating her hay. Didn't shy of anything
yet……. Thanks again, I think she is really going to work out
great! I'll keep ya up dated on pictures later.
Thanks again,
Brenda & Charley
Hey, Brenda!!
I checked out the info on Coral...........what a stunning and wonderful stallion. I can see something of him in Mito.
I am still very impressed with your website! Very informative! Very user friendly.
As you could tell, I was very impressed with Preciosa. Also, with Mocha and the training that they have had. Miranda is an awesome mare, however, she is beyond what I am ready for in a Paso Fino. Too much Porsche for me too early!! ;-) I'm not used to THAT kind of sports car! My Arab mare is more of a Mustang!
Unfortunately for me, :-) , I haven't been able to get Preciosa off my mind…..
I was just floored by Preciosa. I'm not able to get the moment that I saw her off my mind.
Erin
Hey...........
Speaking of Preciosa.............took her out for a little ride yesterday.......finally!!! She was so AWESOME!! I was sooooo happy!!
Seriously, I was thinking..........I would REALLY (like to) get some training done on my gelding… I was SO impressed with your training that I thought that I would really like to bring him to you folks to train. He IS broken to saddle, but, I haven't had much time or place to ride him, so, I thought that a few months worth of expert training would really do him and me some good!!
Erin
Hi Brenda.
Well our first day was tramatic. I went over in the morning to
see how he was doing and he was gone, yes, gone. The other three (2 mares
and a gelding) must have ran him out of the pasture. Well, in between dance
rehersals 20 miles away, my daughter and I searched all day for him with no
luck. Finally my brother called the state police and who would think,
someone had Mac and had also called the state police. Well, he was headed
home, I think, heading straight south over the ridge, he was about 5 miles
from home! Anyway, I went to get him and I had to ride him home ( no
trailer). The people that had him loved him, they couldn't say enough about
him and I promised to give their daughter a ride sometime soon. I was
pretty nervous about riding a new horse along a paved road, over the
mountain and down trails that I was not very familiar with. Along the way,
I met 2 people walking that were very nice and as it turned out, their
parents live next to where I keep the horses! They also commented several
times on how beautiful Mac was. I rode Mac along the paved road but had to
get off because the cars were flying by us and there was hardly any room on
the edge, after the hikers were sure I could find my way, I got back on and
rode down the trails and about 2 miles on a dirt road. He was AWESOME!!!
He stood still to get on, although he was a little nervous at some things,
we just kept on moving. His gait is so smooth, it was like nothing I have
ever ridden before.
When we got home, I left him in the barn over night, away from the 3
stooges, then this morning I rode him over to where my mare and foal are.
After a few quick lessons from the mare on how close he would be allowed to
get to her and the babe, they settled right in! I just checked on them and
all is well. I never thought a gelding would get along so well with Kiki
and the foal...
So - since I have had this horse, I got more walking exercise than I have in
a year, I met several great people, and I fell in love with this 'horse of
my dreams'. I know this is a long story, but I thought you might like to
hear how this beautiful horse has affected my life! thank you, again, and
good night!
Karen
